Privacy Policy

1. General

Words written with capital letters in this Privacy Policy have the same meaning as expressed in the Terms of Service. Stagecast will process your personal data in compliance with the Swedish Personal Data Act (SFS 1998:204) or any such succeeding legislation and this Privacy Policy. Stagecast is the personal data controller regarding personal data that you provide to us or which is collected in connection with your use of the Service and the App. Notwithstanding the foregoing, you own and are responsible for any photos, videos, sound, Moments and text (“Customer Data”) containing personal data which you choose to upload to the App. Stagecast has composed this Privacy Policy to inform you about how we collect and use your personal data and your associated rights. We encourage you to regularly visit the Privacy Policy as we may update it from time to time.

2. Personal Data

Personal data that you choose to give to us Stagecast collects information which you provide directly to us, such as when you create or modify your account, request on-demand services, contact customer support or otherwise communicate with us. When creating an account, we will ask you for the following information: name, email, age, gender, address and where you are when using the app. When you contact us, we may ask you for additional information in order to assist you. If you wish to purchase premium services or merchandise, as available from time to time, additional personal data may be collected but only to the extent necessary to perform payment services. Please note that Stagecast may use third party payment service providers to facilitate your payment and it is important that you carefully read such additional terms which may apply when using such third party. Personal data that we receive when you use the Service and App You may upload photos, videos, sound, and other data to the App using you phone. To do this, the App needs to get access to some functionality on your phone, such as the camera, microphone, speaker, flashlight, screen, accelerator and vibrate function, as well as send you notifications. You can administer such access rights in your phone. Do note, however, that the App needs access to these functionalities to work properly. To better understand the demands and expectations on the Service, we also automatically collect data relating to how you use the Service and the App. This information is collected for Stagecast’s internal research regarding your preferences and behavior. Personal data that we receive from third parties When you create an account in the App, you may sign-up using Facebook. If you choose to sign-up through Facebook, Stagecast will collect the following personal data and information about you from Facebook: your friend list, events that you have attended, pages that you have liked and your location. How we use your personal data The personal data we collect is used to provide you with the Service and the App and to assist you when you contact us. Stagecast may send direct marketing information via e-mail. If you no longer wish to receive such information you can opt-out by contacting Stagecast. Personal data may also be used for internal market analysis, business development, to improve the Service and the App, and for statistical purposes. Disclosure of personal data Stagecast will only process Customer Data to facilitate the Service to you in accordance with the Terms. Keep in mind that pictures, videos, and other data that you upload to the Service will be visible to other users. Stagecast may be required by law to disclose personal data to a third party or a regulatory authority. Transfer and storing of personal data Stagecast is currently using the third party provider Amazon Web Services (AWS) in Ireland for the hosting of the Service and the App. Personal data will be stored in the EU/EEA. Personal data will be deleted by us upon the deletion of your account. We will not retain any personal data once your account has been closed. Cookies Stagecast uses cookies to enhance and facilitate your experience, and to boost performance. A cookie is a small data file containing text, which is used to store information on web browsers. Stagecast uses session cookies for authentication, which expire when you close the browser, as well as permanent cookies, which is stored until the cookie expires. If you do not want to accept cookies, you may adjust your web browser settings either to not accept cookies or to indicate when a cookie is used. Please note that if you disable cookies, some functions might not work as intended.

Mailchimp: If you sign up for our Hackathon called LiveHacks through our Google Docs form we will store some of your information, including your email address, IP address and certain information about the links you click within the emails we send you, on a Mailchimp server. Neither we nor Mailchimp will ever sell your email address or share it with any other party, unless we are legally compelled to do so. If you contact Mailchimp directly regarding your subscription to our newsletter, Mailchimp may contact you directly; otherwise, Mailchimp will never contact you. Only authorized Mailchimp employees have access to our subscriber list. You are always free to unsubscribe from our newsletter.

3. Access, rectification and deletion of personal data

Stagecast takes all reasonable steps to ensure that your personal data is correct and up-to-date. If you believe that your personal data stored by Stagecast is incorrect, please notify Stagecast and provide it with correct data in order to rectify and update your personal data. You can also correct and update the personal data provided by you directly in the App. Once per calendar year, you are entitled to obtain information about your personal data stored and handled by Stagecast at no cost. The request must be in writing and addressed to Stagecast, on the address below, and must be signed by you.
