In this tutorial you will learn about how to edit the branding of the empty participant view

You can customize the branding of the participant mode of your room. Why is that important? We have already established that you can start and stop activities in your room. So, you might ask - what happens if you stop all activities and no activity is live? What does the audience see then? The answer: The "empty room participant view", which you can customize in the room settings.

How to change the empty room participant view

In order to change the empty room participant view, go to the settings of the room by clicking the three white dots next to the room name.

In the settings, navigate to the participant mode tab. Here you can change the branding oft the room. You can set a background image, a header image, a welcome title & description as well as change the color theme of the empty participant mode view.

When you are done with your changes, hit the save button and close the window. If there is no live activity in the room, you can see the updated branding on the participant mode view.

Easy as that. Now you know how to edit the empty room participant view branding on Stagecast!
