There are two ways to launch Moments automatically. You can either schedule a Moment to be launched at a specific time (e.g. 20:15, 25th of July 2019) or launch it when a certain MIDI command or Timecode is received by the server. 🚀🚀🚀
After you have added a Moment to the Launchpad, click the "Schedule" trigger to set a time when the Moment shall be launched.
The schedule window will pop up. Select your event date and the time when the Moment should be launched automatically. 👍
After you have set the start time you have to select the duration of how long the Moment should be active until it is deactivated automatically.
Press the button “Save” to activate the schedule trigger. The Moment will be launched at the date and the time that you have set up and will be deactivated after the duration you have selected. 🚀
When the Moment is launched, the Moment card will be in the "active" state and you will notice a "stop button" on the bottom of the card. You can always click the "stop button" to deactivate the Moment manually before the duration, you have selected, expired.
If you want to remove the schedule trigger, just choose “Manual” on the Moment card and the trigger is removed.
The Stagecast platform can take MIDI commands and Timecode as an input source and launch a Moment on a set command. This is done by placing a computer on event site that get MIDI or Timecode as an input from the event. This computer runs a Stagecast software called "Stagecast Launcher" that listens to the input and launches a Moment upon the set MIDI commands or Timecodes.
The computer on site needs to be running Mac OS and have a reliable internet connection as the trigger of a new Moment is sent over internet. This software is in beta but has been used at large events:
