Create, duplicate and delete activities

Activities are the heart of Stagecast - activities are what makes your event interactive and gives your audience a stake in the experience. In this tutorial you will learn how to setup Stagecast activities.

1. How to create new activities from scratch


To create a new activity from scratch (and not from a pre-existing template), start by clicking the "create" button in the Stagecast room. It will open the activity portfolio.

There are a variety of activities to choose from: Quizzes, Collages, Polls and even games. Choose the type of activity you want to create by clicking on one of them.


You can customize each activity on the configuration page. Each configuration page has a content "setup" and a "general settings" section. In the "setup" section, you set the content of the activity. For example, in the live poll you can set the question and voting options, while in the general settings section, you can customize the branding, language and color theme of the activity.

Once you are done with customizing your activity, hit the "save" button on the top right. Great stuff! You just added a new activity to your Stagecast room!

2. How to edit activities

You can always go back and change the content of your activities later - even if you have already started them! To edit an activity, click the three dots next to the activity name on the activity card and click on "edit". The configuration page will open again and you can make your changes.

Tip: 
Changes will apply immediately, even if your activity is active and your audience already participating.

3. How to duplicate activities

If you want to prepare multiple, similar activity with slightly different content, you can duplicate activities and save time. To do so, click the three dots next to the activity name on the activity card and click on "duplicate". Please note that if you duplicate an activity, you do not duplicate its former results, in case you had already started the activity before.

4. How to delete activities

To delete an activity, click the three dots next to the activity name on the activity card and click on "delete". Don't worry, the activity does not delete immediately, you will receive a safety pop-up where you have to confirm that you do want to delete the activity.

Please note: Deleted activities are permanently deleted and will not be able to be restored. However, all the statistics your activity has generated in the room analytics will not be deleted - deleted activities are marked as "deleted" in the statistics report.
